Role Overview

We are in search of a motivated and technically skilled Applications Engineer specializing in Combustion Rental and Rapid Response to enhance our expanding team at Zeeco Europe Ltd. This position emphasizes the development of customer inquiries, crafting technical and commercial proposals, and participating in site meetings to ascertain equipment requirements and client specifications. You will work closely with our European offices, external partners, and our headquarters to achieve objectives and stimulate business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Design: Execute process design to select suitable combustion equipment, ensuring it aligns with client specifications.
  • Proposal Creation: Develop precise technical and commercial proposals for rental equipment and rapid response flare initiatives, ensuring compliance with client needs.
  • Project Coordination: Grasp scheduling and scope of work requirements to prepare effective turnover documentation and facilitate project advancement.
  • Client Interaction: Follow up on leads, promote the Rentals division across the EMEA region, and engage with clients through technical and commercial discussions.
  • Documentation Management: Draft, edit, and prepare formal quotations, and maintain communication with clients throughout the pre-order and post-order phases.
  • On-site Assistance: Travel to client locations within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, often on short notice, to support marketing initiatives and provide technical/commercial clarifications.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Engineering Background: A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with experience in the process or oil and gas sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in combustion engineering or a related field, or a combination of education and practical experience.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and possessing strong technical knowledge of the industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Excel, Word, and ideally familiar with Sage accounting software.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with strong presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of making independent decisions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining confidence and assertiveness under pressure.
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable working at heights and willing to travel internationally as needed.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Zeeco Europe facility.
  • Possession of a full driving license and own transportation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
