About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Image Licensing Manager to join our team at Imperial War Museums. As a key member of our Image & Film Licensing department, you will be responsible for granting reproduction rights and supplying digital assets to creative professionals working across all media sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment and training of team members, identifying knowledge gaps and sharing knowledge of processes and procedures.
  • Lead the team day-to-day, providing feedback and guidance to ensure the highest standards of customer service are met.
  • Ensure targets are met by holding regular check-ins to set objectives and monitor progress.
  • Maintain relationships with key customers, ensuring the business potential with them is fully met.
  • Keep informed about industry trends and competitors for new opportunities to license our content.
  • Actively seek out and engage with business development opportunities to achieve targets.
  • Represent Imperial War Museums effectively at networking events with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings.
  • Work with senior management to support Digital Transformation projects and review our pricing structure.
  • Manage relationships with key departments across Imperial War Museums, including Curatorial, Visual Resources, Customer Service, Press, Brand Licensing, Partnerships, and Publishing.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on business activities for image licensing matters.
  • Monitor, identify, and develop areas for improvements in business growth, revenue generation, customer service quality, and efficiencies.

  • Knowledge of copyright law and licensing procedures.
