About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a Radiology Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Consultant Radiologists and other specialist clinicians during diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Provide nursing care, advice, and information to patients attending the department, explaining alternative treatment options.
  • Undertake observations of patients receiving Radiology procedures, acting on any changes or deterioration in patient condition.
  • Assist in therapeutic treatments with limited supervision and attend emergency procedures/treatment.
  • Provide specialist advice to patients, relatives, and other healthcare staff regarding clinical procedures and interventions within Radiology.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration, willing to complete a competency framework to scrub independently. Evidence of continued professional development is essential. Desirable qualifications include post-registration study and training, experience in providing supervision to staff, and experience working in a Radiology Department. Welsh language skills are also desirable.
