Main ResponsibilitiesYou will work proactively and creatively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist advice, support, and training to colleagues, families, and carers. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own clinical competency profile and skills in specialist areas, with regular supervision, professional development, and access to peer nursing support.
About UsHywel Dda University Health Board is a leading provider of NHS healthcare services in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and its bordering counties. We offer a wide range of services, including primary, community, in-hospital, mental health, and learning disabilities services, in partnership with local authorities and other organizations.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a registered nurse with a good understanding of current policy and practice in relation to people with learning disabilities. Essential qualifications include a current NMC registration, and desirable qualifications include a teaching qualification or equivalent, or recent experience in the provision of training to health staff. Experience of working with adults with a learning disability is also essential, and experience working with community LD teams and primary care services is desirable.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, and we welcome applications from Welsh speakers. We offer a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet the Welsh language requirements during your employment with us.
