About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures
  • Assist Consultant Radiologists and other specialist clinicians during procedures, maintaining patient dignity and care at all times
  • Provide nursing advice and information to patients, relatives, and other healthcare staff regarding procedures and treatment options
  • Undertake observations of patients receiving radiology procedures and act on any changes or deterioration in patient condition
  • Assist in therapeutic treatments with limited supervision and participate in emergency procedures as needed

Requirements:

  • Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Willingness to complete a competency framework to scrub independently
  • Evidence of continued professional development and post-registration study and training
  • Experience in providing supervision to staff and working in a radiology department
  • Welsh language skills (Level 1)
