Consultant in Non-Acute Pain and Anaesthesia Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Non-Acute Pain and Anaesthesia to join our team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical services, and contributing to the development of our Pain services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of patients with non-acute pain and anaesthesia needs, ensuring the highest clinical standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective care pathways and clinical guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and meetings to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain good working practices within wards, outpatients, and A&E.
- Offer support and leadership to junior medical colleagues, nursing colleagues, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development of clinical governance and audit initiatives.
- MB ChB/BS or EEA equivalent qualification.
- FRCA or other appropriate equivalent qualification.
- Eligible for CCT in Anaesthesia.
- Pain qualification.
- Ability to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, and exert appropriate authority.
- Experience of working in a team and developing service improvement strategies.
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff.
- Understanding of principles of clinical audit.
- Committed to monitoring and improving clinical quality.
- Committed to building a clinical practice that is evidence-based.
