About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Non-Acute Pain and Anaesthesia to join our team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical services, and contributing to the development of our Pain services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of patients with non-acute pain and anaesthesia needs
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and care pathways for pain management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Participate in teaching, research, and audit activities
  • Contribute to the development of our Pain services and clinical governance
Person Specification
  • MB ChB/BS or EEA equivalent
  • FRCA or other appropriate equivalent
  • Eligible for CCT in Anaesthesia
  • Pain Qualification
  • Ability to lead, make decisions, and exert authority
  • Experience of working in a team and developing service improvement strategies
  • Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff
  • Understanding of principles of clinical audit
  • Commitment to monitoring and improving clinical quality
