Role: Technical Support Specialist

Position Summary:

We are looking for a committed Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role is fully onsite and offers a competitive salary. The ideal candidate should possess a valid driver's license, as street parking is accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver internal helpdesk assistance for all software and hardware inquiries from personnel.
  • Install and distribute software and operating system updates efficiently.
  • Set up and configure new workstations and laptops for users.
  • Manage user accounts and handle administrative tasks for departing employees.
  • Conduct routine and periodic maintenance checks on network and desktop systems.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating them to the external IT service provider when necessary.
  • Support the IT Manager in ensuring robust IT system security and safeguarding against cyber threats.
  • Assist in training staff on IT applications and technical issues as required.
  • Provide additional support and guidance to clients as directed.
  • Engage in specific projects aligned with IT strategic goals.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Outlook / O365
  • Experience with Mimecast
  • Familiarity with Azure
  • Maintenance of operating system configurations (including software)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, and print management
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and DHCP principles
