A chartered accountants in Sidcup, South-East London providing specialised advising to private and business clients.

Job Description

  • Provide internal helpdesk support for all software and hardware queries from users
  • Installation and distribution of software and operating system updates
  • Setting up and configuration of new desktops and laptops
  • Setting up new users and completion of leaver administration in accordance with HR requirements
  • Carrying out daily and periodical network and desktop housekeeping checks and maintenance
  • Investigate and diagnose technical issues referring them as necessary to external IT Provider
  • Assist in origination of new system and process documentation and ongoing upkeep of the same
  • Assist the IT Manager in maintaining a very high level of security with the IT systems and protection against cyber crime
  • Assist the IT Manager with the training of staff on IT software and technical matters
  • Provide ad hoc support and advice to clients, as directed
  • Undertake specific projects in line with IT strategic objectives
  • Assist with ensuring that systems are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The Successful Applicant

Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of specialised accounting / taxation and related software
  • Ensures expert knowledge of both in-house IT systems and software and also good understanding of alternatives
  • Knowledge of the Avaya IP phone system and multi-function devices
  • Knowledge of Mimecast messaging and document management system
  • Actively keeping up to date with emerging technology

Team Working

  • Attend IT meetings and provide required contribution
  • Complete all administrative tasks within deadlines e.g. timesheets, HR requirements and Money Laundering training
  • Attend internal meetings with other departments, as required

  • Confident when speaking and working with clients
  • Responds to requests quickly and efficiently
  • Maintains client confidentiality at all times
