Compensation and Benefits Analyst Position at Jane Street

Overview of the Role

We are looking for a skilled Compensation and Benefits Analyst to become part of our team and oversee payroll operations and regulatory compliance for various regions. This position requires effective collaboration with our international Payroll department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and reviewing regular, off-cycle, and bi-weekly payrolls
  • Preparing reports for month-end, quarterly, and annual financial assessments
  • Delivering high-quality support to employees regarding payroll inquiries
  • Enhancing processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assisting in the management of the company’s retirement plan
  • Ensuring adherence to payroll protocols and internal controls
  • Providing support during audits and special projects
  • Coordinating internal communications related to payroll
  • Keeping abreast of payroll regulations and industry best practices
  • Participating in the evaluation of payroll system updates

Candidate Profile
  • Over 10 years of experience in payroll management, both domestically and internationally
  • A degree in business, finance, or a related discipline
  • Experience managing in-house payroll systems and vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with a meticulous approach to detail
  • A willingness to learn and adapt
  • Integrity and the ability to manage confidential information
  • Strong time management and proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Resilience and adaptability in high-pressure situations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • CIPP certification is advantageous
  • Experience with expatriate payroll or payroll in the Netherlands is a plus
  • Familiarity with Workday HR/Payroll systems is preferred
  • Fluency in English is essential
