Job Overview

As an Advertising Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling advertising space and opportunities to a wide range of FMCG brands currently utilising our wholesale platform. You will work with brands to create tailored advertising strategies across multiple platforms, including physical newsletters, digital broadcasts, app banners, websites, and in-store executions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential FMCG brand clients to understand their advertising needs.
  • Promote and sell advertising opportunities across various platforms, including:
  1. Physical monthly newsletters sent to B2B customers.
  2. WhatsApp broadcast messages sent to over 20,000 retailers via the Business Development Team.
  3. Brand banners on our Trade App, used by over 20,000 retailers as their primary ordering tool.
  4. B2C websites with a mailing list of over 15,000 consumers.
  5. Secondary B2B website advertising.
  • In-store brand executions within cash & carry channels across the UK, supported by a dedicated Brand Ambassador.
  • Work closely with clients to develop custom advertising packages that align with their marketing and sales goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to clients, highlighting the benefits of our advertising solutions.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring terms are favourable for both the client and the company.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product, and Operations) to deliver and optimise advertising campaigns.
  • Track and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to enhance revenue growth.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the FMCG and advertising sectors.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred (within Sales).
  • 2+ years of experience in advertising sales, with a strong background in multi-channel sales (digital, print, in-store).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG sector and familiarity with wholesale and retail environments (desirable not essential).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative advertising solutions.
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital marketing tools.
