Position: Team Leader - Access Services

The Team Leader for Access Services will oversee the daily operations of the team, while also collaborating with partners to enhance relationships and deepen the understanding of the Access Services framework.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be an experienced, qualified manager in social work, reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Service. You will provide management oversight and supervision to various team members, including Social Workers, Contact Information Officers, and Business Support Officers. This position is crucial for driving performance and ensuring timely decision-making at the initial point of contact.

The Deputy will hold accountability for threshold and safeguarding decisions. The Team Leader will also supervise the diverse roles within the team, ensuring effective support and guidance. Participation in the out-of-hours Emergency Duty Manager rota will be required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree-level education with a relevant professional qualification in social work.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a related field, such as social work, leadership, or management.
  • Active registration with Social Work England and documented evidence of ongoing professional development.
