About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Independent Chair for our conference and reviewing service. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our service and driving up standards of social work and child protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chair complex multi-agency meetings to ensure effective decision-making and collaboration among professionals.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks to monitor and review the effectiveness of our services.
  • Participate in practice improvement activities to drive up standards of social work and child protection.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Children's Services and other professionals involved in delivering services to vulnerable children and their families.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in management within children's social care.
  • Experience in chairing complex multi-agency and multi-professional meetings.
  • Experience in constructively challenging casework and resolving issues using effective dispute resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant theory that informs practice delivery and statutory legislation (e.g., Children's Act) and national policy drivers that will affect children's services.
