About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Nurse to join our team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with malignant and non-malignant conditions who require specialist palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality palliative care to patients in the inpatient hospital setting
  • Work collaboratively with the palliative care team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare staff on palliative care principles and practices
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of palliative care services
Requirements
  • Degree in Palliative Care, Oncology, Critical Care, or a related field
  • Non-Medical Nurse Prescribing qualification
  • Counselling skills and experience in oncology, long-term condition, or palliative care
  • Knowledge of strategic developments in palliative and end-of-life care in England and Wales
  • Experience of clinical supervision and a commitment to palliative and end-of-life care

  • Computer literacy and ability to use electronic patient records
