Deputy Care Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our team at TRCGroup. As a Deputy Care Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of our domiciliary care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain an effective quality assurance program to promote high-quality services and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure that services are delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Manage and supervise a team of care professionals to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent care to our service users.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that services are meeting the required standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to care professionals to ensure that they are able to provide person-centered care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that services are integrated and effective.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and social care setting.
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting.
  • Experience of working in/managing a domiciliary service.
  • Experience of managing an effective team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities and standards of the service.
  • Full driving license with use of own vehicle.
  • Ability to provide advice and guidance outside of normal office hours as required.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • IT literate, including basic Excel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and motivate others to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize and develop additional opportunities for the service and the people using it.
  • Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual service users, their family, and professional colleagues.
