**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Team Leadership:** Lead and manage a team of Data Centre Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • **Data Centre Operations:** Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data centre, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning correctly and that any issues are promptly addressed.
  • **Hardware Deployment:** Manage the deployment of new hardware, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment, ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standards.
  • **Cabling and Infrastructure:** Oversee the installation and maintenance of cabling and infrastructure, including structured cabling, fibre optic cabling, and power distribution units.
  • **Asset Management:** Manage the inventory of data centre assets, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment, ensuring that all assets are properly documented and tracked.
  • **Incident Management:** Respond to and resolve incidents in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all issues are properly documented and that lessons are learned to prevent future incidents.
  • **Capacity Planning:** Plan and manage the capacity of the data centre, ensuring that there is sufficient power, cooling, and space to support the growth of the business.
  • **Compliance:** Ensure that all data centre operations are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

**Requirements:**

  • **Experience:** Proven experience in a data centre environment, with a strong understanding of data centre operations, hardware deployment, and asset management.

  • **Technical Knowledge:** Strong technical knowledge of data centre operations, hardware deployment, and asset management, including structured cabling, fibre optic cabling, and power distribution units.
