Job Title: Manager - Outreach Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead our outreach service in South Camden, working collaboratively with service users to maximise independence, self-confidence, and integration in the community.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality services to people with learning disabilities and a commitment to working in partnership with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.

The outreach service provides support to adults with learning disabilities, enabling them to access community resources, develop life skills, and build relationships. The manager will be responsible for developing and implementing service plans, managing a team of staff, and ensuring the service meets the needs of service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement service plans to meet the needs of service users
  • Manage a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision
  • Work collaboratively with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to achieve service goals
  • Ensure the service meets the needs of service users, including providing support with daily living skills, accessing community resources, and developing life skills
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the service, making recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing a team and developing service plans
  • Knowledge of the needs of adults with learning disabilities and the ability to provide support and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with service users, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act
