ROLE OVERVIEW
AUDIT CONSULTANT

In this position, you will play a crucial role in assisting managers and senior staff in delivering high-quality client services. Your contributions will enhance the value of our work and ensure the successful completion of various assignments. You will participate in client meetings, collect pertinent information, and collaborate on the best methods to present findings and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute audit assignments in accordance with internal protocols and with careful consideration of resources and budget, under supervision.
  • Take charge of planning, conducting fieldwork, and finalizing audits, playing a significant role within the audit team, managing expectations, and identifying potential issues early.
  • Identify and address more complex audit areas during the fieldwork phase, seeking guidance as necessary and referring questions to senior audit team members.
  • Engage in planning and clearance meetings, actively preparing for discussions and addressing queries from both the audit team and clients.
  • Review draft financial statements, distribute them to clients, and manage any arising questions with appropriate guidance.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients during audit fieldwork, addressing inquiries and recognizing opportunities for additional services.
  • Oversee tasks assigned to junior team members while maintaining overall responsibility for timely delivery.
  • Exhibit an understanding of recoveries, work-in-progress, and the implications of scope changes.
  • Initiate fee preparations and conduct complex analyses of work-in-progress.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ICAS or an equivalent credential.
  • Newly qualified or part-qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in a client-facing capacity is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
