POSITION OVERVIEW
AUDIT CONSULTANT

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting senior managers in delivering high-quality client services. Your contributions will enhance the value of our work and ensure successful completion of assignments. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, collecting relevant information, and determining the most effective ways to present findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute audit assignments in accordance with internal protocols, considering resources and budget constraints, with appropriate guidance.
  • Take charge of planning, fieldwork, and completion of audits, playing a pivotal role in the audit team while managing delivery expectations and addressing issues proactively.
  • Identify and address complex audit areas during the fieldwork phase, seeking guidance when necessary and referring queries to senior audit team members.
  • Participate in planning and clearance meetings, actively preparing for discussions and addressing queries from both the audit team and clients.
  • Review draft financial statements, communicate with clients, and resolve any arising queries, with guidance.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients during audit fieldwork, addressing inquiries and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Oversee tasks assigned to junior team members while maintaining overall responsibility for timely delivery.
  • Exhibit understanding of recoveries, quotes for services, lock-up, scope creep, and work in progress (WIP).
  • Initiate fee preparation and conduct complex WIP analyses.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Professional accountancy qualification - ACCA/ICAS or equivalent.
  • Newly qualified or part-qualified candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in a client-facing capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
