About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Frasers Group. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and profitability, while ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive member experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Frasers Group as an ambassador for fitness, promoting our brand values and mission.
  • Demonstrate our elevated ways of working, leading by example and setting high standards for yourself and your team.
  • Drive all revenue lines, including membership sales, product sales, and secondary revenue streams, to achieve overall profitability.
  • Effectively manage controllable costs, such as stock orders and cleaning supplies, to eliminate wastage and overspend.
  • Lead by example on reception and the gym floor, ensuring a positive member experience and enhancing every visit.
  • Ensure central processes, such as FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE, are followed and delivered to the highest level consistently.
  • Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives, such as #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
  • Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within your gym.
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard, including seal checker, kronos, and branch scheduler.
  • Deliver honest, constructive feedback regularly to support team members in achieving their potential and challenging them daily.
  • Report facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Be resilient and agile in reacting to challenging situations and finding solutions.
  • Effectively manage all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, and pool plant operations.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times, whether on shift or not.

Requirements

  • Possess a passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities.
  • Be adaptable in communication and management style, depending on the team member and their drivers.
  • Display a positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity.
  • Exhibit a member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Be driven and ambitious, with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviors and competencies specific to the role.
  • Be flexible in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
