About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Frasers Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our gym, driving commercial growth, and delivering exceptional member experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Frasers Group as an ambassador for fitness and wellness, embodying our values and mission.
- Drive all revenue lines, including membership sales, product sales, and secondary revenue streams, to achieve overall profitability of the gym.
- Effectively manage controllable costs, such as stock orders and cleaning supplies, to eliminate wastage and overspend.
- Lead by example on reception and the gym floor, ensuring a high standard of service and member experience.
- Ensure central processes, such as FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE, are followed and delivered to the highest level consistently.
- Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives, such as #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
- Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within your gym.
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard.
- Deliver honest, constructive feedback regularly to support team members in achieving their potential.
- Report facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
- Manage all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, and pool plant operations.
- Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
Requirements
- Possess a passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities and adaptability in communication and management style.
- Display a positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity.
- Embody a member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Be driven and ambitious, with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviors and competencies specific to the role.
- Be flexible in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
