About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Frasers Group. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, leading the team in all sales and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Frasers Group as an ambassador for fitness and deliver exceptional member experiences.
  • Drive all revenue lines from membership sales to product and secondary sales, to drive overall profitability of the gym.
  • Effectively manage controllable costs such as stock orders and cleaning supplies to eliminate wastage and overspend.
  • Lead by example on reception and the gym floor, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
  • Ensure central processes like FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE are followed and delivered to the highest level consistently.
  • Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives like #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
  • Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within your gym.
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard.
  • Deliver honest, constructive feedback regularly to support all team members in achieving their potential.
  • Report facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Manage all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, and pool plant operations.

Requirements

  • Possess a passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities and adaptability in communication and management style.
  • Display a positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity.
  • Embody a member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Be driven and ambitious with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviors and competencies specific to the role.
  • Be flexible in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
