About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Tamworth Business Unit. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the business, including producing accurate financial reports, managing budgets, and maintaining financial policies and management information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Produce accurate monthly management accounts, weekly P&L reports, and daily sales and production reports.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the weekly, monthly, and quarterly cashflow forecast, ensuring it balances back to the budget/forecast.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain standard costs of Raw Material, Work in Progress, and Finished Goods, variances, reconciliations, and stock takes.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Manage monthly Bank Reconciliations.
  • Provisions: Calculate appropriate provisions as required, such as inventory, rebates, credit note, and bad debt.
  • Fixed Asset Register: Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and mould recovery.
  • Intercompany Balances: Agree all intercompany balances each month.
  • ONS and VAT Returns: Complete ONS and VAT returns as required.
  • Year End Accounts: Assist with Year End Accounts and external audit.
  • Support to the Finance Department: Provide occasional holiday cover for Credit Control and Purchase Ledger and complete other ad-hoc activities for the wider Finance Department, if required.

Key Requirements:

  • Accounting Qualifications: QBE or working towards CIMA / ACA / ACCA.
  • Computer Literacy: High proficiency in Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Business Central (Navision) Experience: Exposure to Business Central (Navision) would be advantageous.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
