Job Title: Semi Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Semi Senior Accountant to join our team at Rekroot. As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, accounting schedules, and control account reconciliations. You will also be expected to liaise with clients, resolve queries, and provide a high level of service to meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements from source documents/records to final accounts for review by management
  • Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements
  • Work on a wide range of accounts and industries, including small businesses and individuals
  • Liaise with clients directly or through management to resolve queries or obtain further information
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet client expectations
  • Prepare control account reconciliations
  • Assist on Audit (if interested in this area)

Requirements:

  • Minimum AAT level 3 qualification
  • Experience with IRIS software is desirable
  • Knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems, including Xero, VT, and QuickBooks
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, to an intermediate level
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confident when dealing with clients and getting your views across
  • Use initiative to identify problems and provide solutions
