Service Charge Financial Specialist
Permanent Position
Salary Range: £35,000 - £40,000 + additional benefits

Cobalt Recruitment is proud to collaborate with a leading Property Consultancy that focuses on diverse property types including residential, industrial, retail, and office spaces. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation of statutory and service charge financial statements for both residential and commercial properties. Your key responsibilities will encompass uploading service charge budgets, engaging with external auditors, and issuing service charge invoices.

The organization currently utilizes TRAMPS as its property management software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and finalize service charge accounts for external audit purposes.
  • Ensure prompt issuance of any surplus service charges to lessees, tenants, and clients.
  • Calculate necessary accruals and prepayments.
  • Coordinate with external accountants to adhere to deadlines.
  • Analyze expenditures for any miscoding issues.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of budget charges in accordance with lease agreements.
  • Provide precise expenditure figures for year-to-date estimates and budget comparisons.
  • Address technical aspects of account preparation as dictated by client leases and ARMA/RICS regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to finalize accounts and comply with accounting standards specified in the RICS Code and tenant leases.
  • Work alongside Commercial Property Managers to prepare, approve, and distribute budgets for commercial properties in line with the RICS Code.

Candidate Profile:

  • In-depth knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations.
  • Proven experience with TRAMPS is essential.
  • Exceptional concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with a systematic and organized work approach.
