Position: Band 6 Senior People Advisor - Fixed-term opportunity

This role offers a fixed-term opportunity for a human resources professional eager to enhance their expertise within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will collaborate with a dedicated people team, providing support to both clinical and administrative staff in delivering exceptional services to our community.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior People Advisor, you will report to the People Business Partners and receive guidance from the Director of People. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver professional, client-focused HR guidance, coaching, and solutions tailored to various divisions.

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring the effective application of Trust People policies and procedures within operational frameworks.
  • Providing expert HR advice to managers on a variety of employee relations matters, including complex cases.
  • Managing conflicting priorities and self-directing your workload effectively.
  • Supporting change management initiatives in a complex, unionized setting.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • CIPD qualification.
  • Generalist HR experience with proven competence across various HR functions.
  • Experience in providing specialized HR advice in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a public sector or large complex organization with union recognition.

Skills and Knowledge

Essential Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage challenging and emotional situations effectively.
  • Proficient in data management and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in coaching individuals or groups on HR policies.
