Area Sales Manager – Retail & Showroom (Yorkshire and Northeast)
We are seeking a seasoned retail sales professional to fill a key role covering the Yorkshire and Northeast regions for a leading manufacturer of bathroom products.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a growing portfolio of retail and showroom clients, ensuring that product displays are well-maintained, up-to-date, and prominently positioned in prime showroom spaces.
Your role will involve rolling out high-quality bathroom displays across a network of mid-to-high-end independent retailers and showrooms, increasing brand presence and driving sales opportunities through consistent targeting, servicing, and delivering the best service and offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct meaningful contacts/meetings with clients to discuss product displays and sales strategies.
- Manage and coordinate the roll-out of new product displays to ensure optimal brand presence and customer engagement.
- Negotiate stock and pricing for small stock deals with key showroom partners to drive sales growth.
- Deliver in-branch training programs for showroom staff and affiliated installers, focusing on the full range of bathroom products and their applications.
- Support exhibitions and end-user related activities to promote brand awareness and drive sales.
- Drive high customer engagement through a consultative and tailored sales approach, balancing key account management with new business development.
- Manage a portfolio of around 130 active clients, generating approximately £1m annually, and track and analyse account performance to ensure continuous positive sales growth.
- Provide regular feedback to the Sales Director to help improve service and sales performance.
- Ensure consistent use of CRM to log activity and drive sales growth.
