We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Creative Video Content Producer at Bauer Media Group. This role is pivotal in enhancing our digital storytelling across various platforms.

As a key member of our dynamic team, you will report directly to the Digital Editor and will be responsible for crafting engaging video content that resonates with our audience. We seek a seasoned professional with a robust understanding of video production processes, a flair for shooting, and a deep enthusiasm for post-production.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, producing, and disseminating content that is engaging, aligned with our brand, and timely.
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends in social media video editing and popular culture.
  • Editing both short and long-form videos tailored for our social media channels and video platforms.
  • Collaborating with the social media team to effectively distribute content across various platforms.
  • Overseeing video production projects, both in-studio and on location.
  • Managing video equipment, ensuring all gear is operational and reporting any issues.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to implement digital best practices, creating captivating graphics, compelling edits, and eye-catching thumbnails that drive audience engagement.
  • Taking on the role of director or producer when necessary to ensure the highest quality of video content is achieved.
  • Assisting with digital and design elements as needed.

What You Will Bring:

  • A solid foundation in camera, sound, and lighting techniques.
  • Proven experience in both editing and shooting, with a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms from a video perspective.
  • Strong editorial judgment and a passion for storytelling.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively and direct on-screen talent.
  • A thorough understanding of Bauer's brand identity and a keen awareness of Scottish culture.
  • Familiarity with all major social media platforms.
  • Expertise in sound design.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Mac operating systems.
  • Skills in storyboarding and scripting.
  • Knowledge of media law and compliance standards.
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols during shoots.
  • Graphic design and animation skills are advantageous, including proficiency in Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Photography skills.
  • A proactive, committed approach with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • A collaborative spirit, capable of working with stakeholders to ensure project completion.
