About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Media Executive to join our Online Marketing team at WHSmith. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating engaging social media content to drive our commercial targets and grow awareness of our brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and implement a calendar of always-on and campaign content across our social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Campaign Planning: Plan, build, and execute campaigns to drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and generate business media revenue.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and interpret performance analysis to ensure learnings are fed into future activations, and prepare reports on campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with buying teams and supplier partners to deliver paid activity and manage influencer partnerships, including contract negotiation and coordination.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity on social platforms and compile recommendations to inform strategic development.
Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally 2+ years' experience working in a social media role, either in-house or agency-side.
  • Skills: Demonstrable experience in creating content and campaigns driving engagement, ability to create different content types, and highly aware of social platforms and trends.
  • Reporting: Experience reporting on social media performance and ability to analyze data to inform future activations.
