Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to join our team at Brakes. As a key member of our National Account team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving sales growth, and building long-term relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • To identify and pursue new business opportunities with commercial clients, with a focus on winning new contracts and expanding existing relationships.
  • To develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and growth targets.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at our clients, understanding their business needs and developing tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  • To work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality tender submissions and support the launch of new business wins.
  • To analyze market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for growth and developing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a business development or commercial growth role, with a successful track record of winning new business and driving sales growth.
  • Excellent customer relationship and rapport-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Good commercial acumen and knowledge of the key profit levers, with the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity.
  • Good knowledge of the Brakes business and the hospitality/catering marketplace.
  • Proficient with all aspects of technology, including PowerPoint and Excel.
