Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Paediatric Assessment Unit team. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and young people with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in the supervision and teaching of untrained staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and supportive environment, promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license.
  • Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably in paediatrics.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Standard keyboard skills and knowledge of IT packages such as Word, PAS, and E-rostering.
  • EPLS, cannulation, and venipuncture skills.
  • Manchester triage training.
