We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cardiology Outpatient Administrator to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our cardiology department, ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointments and procedures, ensuring timely and efficient communication with patients, healthcare staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize clinical procedures and book appointments accordingly.
  • Manage patient records, including updating and generating clinic lists, and ensuring accurate coding and billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with medical records and staff to ensure all necessary information is available for clinic appointments.
  • Coordinate requests for clinical procedures, imaging services, and other patient-related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local waiting-time standards, working closely with clinical staff to minimize breaches.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of local policies and operating procedures.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and organizational skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Windows, MS Office, and Excel, and be able to prioritize tasks effectively. A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to develop computer technology skills are also essential.
