About the Role

This exciting opportunity focuses on driving strong leadership around the participation of individuals with lived mental health issues and their carers in East London NHS Foundation Trust services.

The ideal candidate will promote improved outcomes for service users and enhance their experiences through new insights and perspectives. This will involve involvement in recruitment, training, auditing, and improving services.

They will project manage various work streams that underpin the locality participation agenda, ensuring coordinated practice and alignment with the Trust's corporate social inclusion strategies.

The role requires close collaboration with relevant Borough Management teams to ensure a consistent approach across the directorate and holding the Directorate and staff accountable for People Participation activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership, advice, and practical project work across the locality in developing a culture that is socially inclusive, values participation, and diversity.
  • Support and maintain effective communication, contributing to the training needs of staff in this aspect of their work.
  • Hold line management responsibilities for at least two People Participation staff members, with the potential for this number to change as projects and services develop.
