About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our participation and inclusion agenda. As Director of People and Inclusion, you will be responsible for promoting improved outcomes for service users and improving their experiences through new insights and perspectives.

You will project manage various work streams that underpin our locality participation agenda, ensuring that practice in the locality is coordinated and supports our corporate social inclusion strategies. You will work closely with relevant Borough Management teams to ensure a consistent approach across the directorate and hold the Directorate and all its staff to account for People Participation activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership, advice, and practical project work across the locality in the development of a culture that is socially inclusive, values participation and diversity.
  • Support and maintain effective communication, contributing to the training needs of staff in this aspect of their work.
  • Line manage at least two People Participation staff members, with the potential for this number to change as projects and services develop.
