As a Support Worker, your role will be pivotal in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by fostering their independence and improving their life skills. Work Environment
Welcome to Timberlea, a 24-hour supported living facility that has been providing care for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Needs for over a decade.
We accommodate up to twelve individuals with mild to moderate Learning Disabilities, tailoring our services to promote their independence. Our residents often require significant personal care due to their complex needs.
Shift Details:
The working hours for this position are from 9 PM to 7 AM. This role involves working independently with on-call support available.
We utilize a digital social care record system to streamline daily documentation, allowing you to focus more on the individuals we support.
Key Responsibilities
What will my role entail?
This position is hands-on, with varied daily tasks including:
- Encouraging the independence of those we support
- Assisting with a wide range of daily activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and outings
- Organizing engaging activities within the home and community
- Supporting residents in developing their life skills and personal interests
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
- Providing assistance with personal care
- Conducting manual handling as required
- Supporting medication management
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service quality monitoring
