We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Play Specialist to join our team at Sterling Cross Ltd, a specialist service provider in the East Midlands.

The service offers a range of care and support services for babies, children, and young people with complex needs, including palliative care, symptom management, emergency care, respite, and short breaks.

As a Registered Play Specialist, you will be part of our outreach services team, working on-site and within the local community to provide therapeutic and generic play and leisure activities for our service users.

You will be responsible for ensuring all children have access to play and planning appropriate activities, while also providing assistance, guidance, and leadership to the wider Play Team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing play plans to meet the individual needs of service users.
  2. Providing support and guidance to the Play Team to ensure high-quality play and leisure activities.
  3. Collaborating with the Family Support Lead to promote good teamwork and employee relations.
  4. Overseeing all activities and ensuring a safe and caring environment for service users.

This is a hybrid role that includes on-site and community work, requiring a driving license and access to a vehicle.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Fully qualified Health Play Specialist registration with HPSET.
  2. Experience working with babies and children of all ages.
  3. Experience working with children with complex needs.
  4. Ability to travel around the East Midlands and access rural locations.
