We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Deputy Lead Nurse to join our dedicated team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and management of a small team of staff, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in partnership with children, young people, and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Conduct regular appraisals and provide training and development opportunities to staff.
- Ensure effective communication and teamwork throughout the shift.
- Qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RGN with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
- Significant post-registration experience with children and/or young people (0-25 years) with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care.
- Palliative care experience is desirable, but specialist training and development opportunities will be provided.
