About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding and Child Protection Officer to join our team at Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and adults within our organization and its subsidiary businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on child and adult safeguarding/welfare and protection issues to Swim England and its subsidiary businesses.
  • Work proactively to support members and clubs in relation to safeguarding matters, promoting best practice and providing training to upskill in this area.
  • Attend safeguarding meetings and working groups, and work directly with individuals to communicate safeguarding practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with clubs to provide support, advice, and information on Swim England child safeguarding procedures and legislation.
  • Assist with providing training to Swim England teams, clubs, and regions on safeguarding best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and have the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders.
