Stepps, North Lanarkshire, United Kingdom Scottish Water Full time

Join Us in Serving Scotland with Integrity.

At Scottish Water, our mission is to nurture a thriving Scotland by safeguarding its most vital natural resource, ensuring a seamless supply of exceptional water from source to tap. We are dedicated to protecting our environment every moment of every day.

Our teams across Scotland are committed to maintaining high standards, and we are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Project Coordinator to become part of our Investment Delivery West Regional Hub Team.

This position within our Regional Hubs entails overseeing a diverse range of project types related to both new and existing assets, ensuring they are restored to comply with the necessary Scottish Water standards and specifications. The role encompasses all phases of the project lifecycle, collaborating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to guarantee successful project execution with optimal performance.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Coordinator, you will be tasked with managing the execution of a portfolio of civil, mechanical, and electrical projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. You will work towards achieving budgetary goals and performance outcomes, while also preparing monthly reports for the project portfolio that detail cost status, milestone completion dates, and timely resource requirements within our integrated reporting system.

You will be driven to establish trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders within a Regional Hub, including clients, operators, third parties, customers, and the area integrated team.

Decision-making is a crucial aspect of this role, as is monitoring the performance of consultants and commercial partners, intervening as necessary regarding their health and safety, project management, and delivery performance. You will also assist in ensuring compliance with relevant governance approvals, preparing necessary documentation and supporting information, and meeting Quality and Environmental legislative requirements to achieve project targets as outlined in the Investment Delivery Business Plan.

This position supports hybrid working arrangements, with team gatherings scheduled regularly. The nature of this role will also necessitate travel to project sites; therefore, a valid driving license is required.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for candidates with a qualification at Degree, HND, or HNC level in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Demonstrable experience in successfully managing and delivering projects is essential, with prior experience in the water industry being advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in project commercial and financial management is also beneficial.

An understanding of statutory health and safety regulations and the application of Engineering Forms of contract would be highly valuable. However, we are committed to providing training and development in these areas. Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is also desirable.

We seek a strong communicator with a proven ability to engage with stakeholders and experience in customer interaction, along with a track record of planning and establishing performance milestones.

Our Commitment to You

While the work we do is significant, we recognize that it is not the only aspect of life that matters. We ensure that you have the resources necessary to achieve a healthy work-life balance.

Our employees enjoy generous holiday entitlements, family-friendly policies, and flexible working arrangements. Additionally, we offer a pension plan and life assurance to secure your future.

As a part of our employee benefits, you can expect an annual company bonus and access to various rewards that can help you save on everyday expenses.

Final Notes

This role is classified at Grade 7, with a competitive starting salary based on your skills and experience. Performance-driven pay progression is available.

If you are interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to apply and explore the potential of joining our dedicated team at Scottish Water.
