Operations Manager

Job Summary:
MWH Treatment is seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead our Scotland-wide operations and drive the delivery of complex construction projects. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of projects, managing a team of project managers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of project managers to deliver projects within the Scottish Water SR15 and SR21 Frameworks.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project delivery, efficiency, and safety.
- Chair monthly cost review meetings with commercial managers to ensure accurate project reporting.
- Review resource levels for proposed and current live projects to ensure sufficient resources are allocated.
- Identify recruitment requirements and obtain necessary resources as needed.
- Effectively manage subordinates and their teams to achieve project targets.
- Actively review and manage the performance of subordinates reporting into the Operations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with ESD HS&S, Quality assurance, BMS, and management procedures within the team.
- Be innovative in process improvement and recommend changes to the senior leadership team.
- Proactively address problems and find solutions to benefit the business.
- Attend senior management meetings and support other Operations Managers within the company.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management and leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of construction projects and delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
