Stepps, North Lanarkshire, United Kingdom Scottish Water Full time

Join Us in Our Mission to Serve Scotland.

At Scottish Water, we are dedicated to nurturing a thriving Scotland by safeguarding our most vital natural resource, ensuring clean water from source to tap. Our commitment extends to environmental stewardship every moment of every day.

We are seeking a proactive and driven Programme Coordinator to become part of our Investment Delivery West Regional Hub Team.

This position entails overseeing a diverse range of projects involving both new and existing infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Scottish Water's standards and specifications. The role encompasses all phases of the project lifecycle, collaborating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

As a Programme Coordinator, you will manage a portfolio of civil, mechanical, and electrical initiatives, navigating through all project stages. You will be accountable for budget adherence and performance metrics, providing monthly updates on project status, cost projections, milestone achievements, and resource requirements through our integrated reporting system.

Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders is essential, including clients, operators, third-party contractors, and integrated teams.

Decision-making is a critical aspect of this role, along with monitoring the performance of consultants and commercial partners, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining project management standards. You will assist in governance compliance, preparing necessary documentation and supporting information, while ensuring adherence to quality and environmental regulations.

This position offers flexibility for hybrid working, with regular team meetings in our office. The role will also require occasional travel to project sites, necessitating a valid driving license.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for candidates with a qualification at Degree, HND, or HNC level in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering projects is essential, with a preference for candidates with experience in the water sector. Familiarity with project financial management is advantageous.

An understanding of statutory health and safety regulations and engineering contract applications is beneficial, although training will be provided. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel, is also desirable.

We seek a strong communicator with proven stakeholder engagement skills and experience in performance planning and milestone setting.

Our Commitment to You

While our work is significant, we recognize the importance of a balanced life. We offer generous leave entitlements, including 38 days of holiday annually, with the option to purchase additional leave. Opportunities for community volunteering are also available.

We support family-friendly policies for major life events and promote flexible working arrangements. Our pension plan and life assurance provide peace of mind for your future.

Additionally, you can expect an annual performance-related bonus and access to employee rewards that can help you save on various expenses.

Important Considerations

This role is classified at Grade 7, with a competitive starting salary based on your skills and experience. Performance-driven pay progression is available.

We encourage applications from individuals who may not meet every criterion, as we value diverse experiences and perspectives. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.

As part of our commitment to developing a thriving Scotland, it is essential that all employees are Scottish taxpayers. If you join us, your home address will need to be in Scotland.

Finally, candidates who have not applied in the last year will have their records removed from our recruitment database automatically.
