Job Overview

Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) - Band 7, Fixed Term Contract

We are pleased to announce two openings for Band 7 Psychological Therapists within our Dementia and Frailty Services. These roles are ideal for candidates who possess a diploma or Master's degree in CBT and are accredited by the BABCP.

We seek experienced and qualified psychological practitioners. While experience with clients facing severe and persistent mental health challenges and working with the older adult demographic is preferred, we are committed to providing training to enhance skills in these areas. The successful candidates will join multidisciplinary teams dedicated to transforming our Community Services as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.

There are two full-time positions available across various sites, with options for both full-time and part-time work.

We encourage applications from individuals eager to expand their clinical expertise across a diverse range of presenting issues, contributing positively to the community.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for dedicated, skilled clinicians who can effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a variety of clinical services. The role offers excellent opportunities to gain experience in integrated service provision and to further develop skills in complex case assessment, formulation, and the application of evidence-based psychological interventions, both individually and in group settings. Candidates should have experience working with service users who present complex mental health and behavioral needs.

About Our Organization

Welcome to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. Our dedicated team of 4,000 clinical and support staff is committed to enhancing mental health and well-being for the 70,000 individuals we serve annually. We provide a comprehensive range of mental health services across Birmingham and Solihull, along with specialized services on a national level. We also offer training in medical, nursing, and psychology fields and take pride in our international reputation for research and innovation.

Our community is culturally diverse, often characterized by high levels of deprivation, which increases the demand for our services and necessitates our commitment to ensuring equitable access to care. We are a compassionate, inclusive team dedicated to providing exceptional care to support our community. If you are seeking a workplace where you can truly make a difference in people's lives, we invite you to explore opportunities with us.
