We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, supporting the other clinicians within the team, and ensuring that your named area is meeting operational and clinical targets.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, ensuring that the team is meeting operational and clinical targets.
- Line manage clinical staff within the MHST, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Actively promote the core functions of MHST alongside the IAPT Principles, ensuring that services are delivered in line with best practice.
- Facilitate the development of a positive and supportive team culture, dealing effectively with potential conflicts and promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.
- Participate in the audit process, linking in with the clinical governance agenda to ensure that services are delivered in line with best practice.
- Advise, encourage, and share knowledge with colleagues, utilizing the latest research and practice development to improve service delivery.
- Ensure that a high-quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based service is available to all service users who need it and who use the MHST.
- Successful completion of a graduate training (nursing, social work, occupational therapy, clinical psychology) with appropriate registration of a professional body (HCPC, NMC).
- Further professional knowledge gained through accredited courses, workshops, study, and in-house training programs (CYP-IAPT training).
- Experience of working with children/young people with Mental Health or Learning Disabilities, providing specialist, evidence-based individual interventions with a wide variety of children and young people, from 3 to 19 years old.
- Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and adolescents and safeguarding procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of risk management and ability to monitor and assess risk and act accordingly to ensure safety.
