About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to progress within an operational capacity and work closely with the Operational Manager and Clinical Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, ensuring the team meets operational and clinical targets.
  2. Line manage clinical staff within the MHST, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  3. Facilitate the development of a high-quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based service for service users.
  4. Participate in the audit process, linking in with the clinical governance agenda.
  5. Advise, encourage, and share knowledge utilising the latest research and practice development.
  6. Ensure the team adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines, and maintains a safe and effective working environment.

Requirements
  • Successful completion of a graduate training (nursing, social work, occupational therapy, clinical psychology) with appropriate registration of a professional body (HCPC, NMC).
  • Experience of working with children/young people with Mental Health or Learning Disabilities, providing specialist, evidence-based individual interventions.
  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and adolescents and safeguarding procedures and policies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with service users, families, and other professionals.
