  • Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with the business strategy and future needs.
  • Design and deliver training programs, including Leadership & Management training, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and third-party providers.
  • Collaborate with managers to create and support individual learning, succession, and talent plans, including course content and learning solutions.
  • Identify and implement innovative methods for delivering training, learning, and development to maximise benefits for employees and the business.
  • Manage apprenticeship programs, ensuring appropriate selection and maintaining the Apprentice Levy account.
HR:
  • Work closely with the People Director to lead the HR team, mentoring, encouraging, supporting, and guiding with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Help implement and embed the People Strategy consistently across all areas.
  • Provide support and advice in line with legal and best practice requirements, while being commercially aware of business needs.
  • Oversee the development of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with current legislation and best practices.

  • An experienced L&D or HR professional, working at a similar level, with experience ideally within construction, manufacturing, or the engineering sectors.
  • Proven management experience, mentoring and supporting similar teams.
  • Willingness to travel to different sites and maintain visibility across the entire business.
  • Ability to gather data and insights to identify learning needs, collect feedback, report on training completion, and continuously improve content.
  • Capability to deliver training sessions both in-person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders across a diverse business.
  • Highly organised with strong analytical skills.
  • CIPD qualification (preferred).
