We are seeking an experienced HR and Learning & Development Manager to join our client, a reputable and successful nationwide construction business. Key Responsibilities:- L&D: Review and evaluate current L&D processes, making recommendations for improvement. Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy, working closely with the People Director.
- L&D: Design and deliver training programs, including Leadership & Management training, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and third-party providers.
- L&D: Continuously review and update the suite of training packages on the LMS, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
- L&D: Collaborate with managers to create and support individual learning, succession, and talent plans, including course content and learning solutions.
- L&D: Identify and implement innovative methods for delivering training, learning, and development to maximize benefits for employees and the business.
- HR: Work closely with the People Director to mentor, encourage, support, and guide the HR team with a continuous improvement mindset.
- HR: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, implementing and embedding the People Strategy consistently.
- HR: Provide support and advice in line with legal and best practice requirements, being commercially aware of business needs.
- HR: Oversee the development of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with current legislation and best practices.
- Experience as an L&D or HR professional, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or engineering sectors.
- Proven management experience, mentoring, and supporting similar teams.
- Ability to travel to different sites and maintain visibility across the entire business.
- Capability to gather data and insights to identify learning needs, collect feedback, report on training completion, and continuously improve content.
- Proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders across a diverse business.
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
- CIPD qualification (preferred).
