Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join our expanding tax department based in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in a variety of projects within a dynamic and successful global organization.
  • Report directly to the Group Head of Tax, addressing intricate tax challenges and contributing to the formulation and execution of the indirect tax strategy across the organization.
  • Oversee all facets of indirect tax compliance and risk management.
  • Assist the Group Head of Tax in evaluating the efficiency of indirect tax controls, processes, and policies to ensure accurate and timely compliance across more than 25 countries.
  • Lead the provision of complex indirect tax advisory services concerning international tax issues, supporting the broader tax team on indirect tax considerations related to market entry.
  • Identify and implement indirect tax planning opportunities and strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Stay informed about international VAT developments relevant to digital enterprises and communicate these insights effectively to the business.
  • Provide ongoing VAT guidance and training to internal stakeholders, including finance, procurement, and legal teams.
  • Collaborate with the tax team to review and advise on new contractual agreements.
  • Coordinate indirect tax processes and control frameworks to ensure compliance with Senior Accounting Officer provisions for all relevant UK entities.
  • Foster strong relationships across the organization to ensure early involvement of the tax team in proposed transactions, advocating for commercially viable and pragmatic tax solutions.
  • Build trust and rapport with advisors and tax authorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of indirect tax experience within a multinational corporation or a mid/large accounting firm.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax accounting, compliance, and filings.
  • Strong technical expertise in UK and European indirect tax matters concerning goods and services.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a complex and fast-paced environment, with key skills including attention to detail, effective project management, and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience with digital services and tax technology, including OneSource and SAP.
