Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the telecommunications landscape.
  • Explore new markets, clients, partnerships, products, and services while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Develop and manage customer relationships, ensuring their expectations are met.
  • Assess and quantify projects from network operators.
  • Close sales with telecom network operators effectively.

Core Duties:

  • Analyze business sectors for broadband, utilities, and government/defense, including both direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Investigate potential market areas for telecom opportunities.
  • Present the company's telecommunications solutions to prospective clients.
  • Proactively communicate the company's value proposition.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to network and promote the company's offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships while staying informed about new products and technologies.
  • Create and manage sales forecasts, actively working towards achieving set targets.
  • Contribute to the completion of tender applications received by the organization.
  • Deliver engaging sales presentations to both prospective and existing clients, both in-person and online.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to address and resolve customer inquiries and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Achieve a minimum of £1 million in new business within the first year.
  • Establish a Business as Usual (BaU) revenue run-rate of £2 million annually by the second year.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and competitive landscape.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Showcase leadership skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Possess the technical acumen to understand and propose tailored solutions to client needs.
  • Maintain solid IT skills and proficiency in essential software applications.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and a proactive approach to professional development.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on telecom industry standards and trends.
  • Operate remotely after initial training, with occasional office visits.
  • Acquire fundamental product knowledge relevant to the role.

Preferred Experience:

  • Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in the telecommunications sector.
  • Management experience or relevant educational qualifications in marketing, finance, business management, or related fields.
