About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Clinical Leader for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality services for children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric input to the multidisciplinary team, supporting clinical decision-making and offering clinical assessments and consultation as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with service leads to develop safe and effective services, actively contributing to the strategic development of the service.
  • Join the regular peer group CPD forum and participate in teaching opportunities, with support to become a clinical and/or educational supervisor.

Essential Requirements
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Evidence of sub-speciality or other specific training, e.g. systemic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy.
  • CCT Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Desirable Requirements
  • Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service.
  • Clinical experience in a range of services within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
