We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team at Devon County Council. As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, you will play a key role in improving outcomes for children and families in Devon.
Main ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading and delivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCP DH 2010) to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Contributing to the Public Health Agenda, meeting Public Health targets, and reducing health inequalities in partnership with key agencies.
- Promoting the protection of children, adhering to the Local Safeguarding Children's Board policies and procedures.
- Leading teams within Health Visiting and School Nurses, and partnering with agencies as required.
- Working as part of a team to ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are met.
- Supporting service development, standard setting, clinical audit, and benchmarking.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
